I’m fascinated with motion tracking and love the idea of expression doing all the work for you. So with that, I’ve been working on this little project with some footage I shot in Red Bank a few years back. The lines you see have one point anchored to the larger circle, which is holds the tracking info, and their other point is anchored to another object. So as the footage pans, there is an elastic quality to the lines. Along with some simple animations and blending modes, it’s coming along pretty nice (albeit, only 10 seconds).
